First TIM products certifiedAfter the successful release and roll out of the AEF TIM conformance test some days ago to certification test laboratories, we are happy to announce that the first TIM product has been certified and can be found in the AEF ISOBUS database. AE50 award for TIMThe AEF is pleased to be a recipient of an AE50 award of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) for 2020 for the development of the Tractor Implement Management (TIM) functionality. For the first time this system enables secure, industry leading communication between tractors and implements from different manufacturers. The guiding hand behind TIM - Hans Jürgen NissenAs with all projects, at some point they come to completion. This is true with the project, Tractor Implement Management (TIM), which was released this week officially. But also comes with news that Hans Jürgen Nissen will leave his position as the AEF team leader. AEF Booth at AgritechnicaAEF Booth at Agritechnica AEF Speeches at VDI conference 2019The AEF was well represented with three different presentations at the 77th Landtechnik AgEng Conference which took place on Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th of November at the Conference Centre in the middle of the Hannover exhibition grounds. ATLAS focuses on the standardization of interfaces in knowledge-based farmingIn the "Agricultural Interoperability and Analysis System (ATLAS)" project leading manufacturers of agricultural technology are working together with associations, companies as well as universities and research institutions to standardize data interfaces in the field of cloud-based agricultural applications. The project is scheduled for three years and is funded by the EU's H2020 research programme. Further development of the AEF ISOBUS DatabaseWhich implement can be operated with the tractor’s ISOBUS terminal? Which functionalities are supported by the combination of vehicles? Can the farmer continue to use his existing terminal when buying a new tractor? And what about the joystick? Answers to these questions can be obtained from the AEF ISOBUS Database which has been further developed. Access to the database is available for manufacturers, dealers and the public. TPPL – Twisted Pair Physical LayerIn January 2019, the 3rd revision of ISO 11783 – Part 2: Physical Layer has been published. As you may know this part of the ISO standard details the requirements for the physical layer of ISOBUS systems and includes the tests to be performed to verify that a device can be considered electrically compliant to the standard. Russian Federation is interested in ISOBUS technologyLast October 2019, Norbert Schlingmann, AEF General Manager, was invited to speak at a conference in Moscow entitled “Universal control and monitoring systems for agricultural machinery (ISOBUS)”. AEF at ACPAFrom the 14th to the 17th of October the Asian-Australasian Conference on Precision Agriculture took place at the Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana, India. There were over 200 delegates from educational institutions plus around 15 industry representatives from all different corners of the world. |
