AEF ISOBUS Database – Improvements

The latest version of the AEF ISOBUS Database was released in the middle of summer and included the highly anticipated changes to the Product Upload Process. This is pleasing news for the Product Management folks in the AEF member companies. Typically, the Product Development teams are responsible to get the ISOBUS ECUs certified, but once the certificate is loaded in the Database it is the responsibility of Product Management to upload the product information i.e. model names/photos and then associate it with the relevant certification. Prior to the mid-summer release updating product information was a complex and subsequently not so enjoyable task!

ATLAS - High Level Architecture

Τhe overall goal of the Horizon 2020 project “ATLAS” is the development of an open digital Network through which information and services become available to the end-user in an easy, protected and automated manner. Through extracting new knowledge using existing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) platforms and machinery, not only is the user experience expected to improve but also the farm’s performance is optimized.

Attention all users of the AEF ISOBUS Conformance Test!

The current AEF Conformance Test environment was developed based on a now outdated version of National Instruments TestStand. (To be precise we are talking about N.I. TestStand 2010 SP1.)
So, the AEF Conformance Test team have been working hard on updating the Conformance Test environment to be based on NI TestStand 2017 SP1. This new version of the AEF Conformance Test will be released in January 2021.

WIC presentation at ASABE Annual International Meeting (AIM)

Once again, the AEF were presenting at the 2020 ASABE Annual International Meeting (AIM). The event took place from the 13th to the 15th of July and, like numerous other events this year, was a fully virtual event due to the COVID-19 situation. This time Johann Witte and Charles Byrd from Project Team 11 had the honour of presenting the latest activities of the Wireless Infield Communications (WIC) team.

AEF at AGROSALON

The AGROSALON took place from the 6th to the 9th of October in Moscow and thanks to the grateful assistance of the Agriculture Engineering team at NAMI (The Russian State Scientific Research Centre) there was a slot on the Technical Presentations Agenda for the AEF.
The two-hour session was called “How to get started with ISOBUS” and the intention was to give an overview to Russian implement manufacturers (who were new to the subject).

AEF to present at EIMA Digital Preview

The Covid-19 emergency has defined a new economic and social geography with global restrictions. The international trade shows worldwide have been postponed or canceled and EIMA International trade show had to do the same. The live show is now scheduled in the month of February 2021. However, in the meanwhile FederUnacoma have worked very hard to give manufacturers a chance to safely promote their products, in the original timeframe.
This is how the Eima Digital Preview was born.
